Private (Pvt) Mario Juarez
[Confirmed]
There are several indicators that the soldier in this video is, in all likelihood, Private Mario Juarez. See screenshots and descriptions below.
1) The video title, “Wounded U.S. marine being carried to operating room of 5th Division hospital in Iwo Jima, Japan during World War II”, description, “Wounded 5th Division Marine being carried on a stretcher into an operating room” and markers indicate that this is footage of the 5th Marine Division AND, according to The Spearhead (page 193), Private Mario Juarez was in the 27th Regiment of the 5th Marine Division.
2) There is only one soldier with the last name of Juarez that served in the 5th Marines – Private Mario Juarez.
3) Although the quality of the video makes it difficult to see, the writing on the back of the shirt on the soldier at the left near the end of the clip is clearly “Juarez” as seen in the next, higher resolution screenshot.
According to The Spearhead (page 205), Mario Juarez was wounded in action (WIA).

After very close examination using an imaging application to vary contrast, gamma, saturation and sharpness, the writing on the back of the soldier’s shirt is clearly “JUAREZ”.

This footage occurs earlier in the reel than the previous footage and does not contain any indication of “Juarez” but does contain a brief, lower half view of the soldier’s face.
