SVT-38/40

 WWII
Photos & Footage

Through my interest in the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine, I started looking into collecting semi-automatic rifles used by the other major forces during WWII. This lead me to the Russian SVT-40. Like all firearms I collect, I wanted to learn as much as possible about this rifle. More specifically, I wanted to see photos and footage of its use during WWII. I soon realized that this content is not very prevalent given the relatively small number of SVT-38/40s produced (approximately 1.6 million combined) when compared to the Russian Mosin-Nagant 91/30, which was the primary weapon used by the Russian infantry, with approximately 18 million produced.
