There are a multitude of websites containing detailed information about historic weapons. Many are authored by individuals that truly are experts in their field. Although I have done my fair share of research and due diligence, I am, by no means, an expert on any of the weapons included in this section. It is not my intent to delve into the minute nuisances of each weapon or replicate the research that is readily available elsewhere. The scope of the material in this section is based on specific weapons I have collected as well as those that are either less commonly encountered or being used in unique situations.
Although I have always been interested in military history, collecting military firearms has been a way to bring this history to life. Regardless of the actual or perceived originality or value of any one piece, these weapons are a way to make the history they represent more tangible. I truly see them as “living history”. In this spirit, the primary focus of this section is to provide period photographs and footage of these weapons in use.
