Honor the Veterans 
I’m Bruce Hammond, former president of 5th Marine Division Association. We have not folded yet, but no one has volunteered to host a reunion since the last one. My dad, Ivan Hammond, will be 101 on Aug. 12. He does not have much memory anymore but still has a great appetite. Over a 10 to 12 year period, FMDA members reconstructed the muster rolls for all thirteen Air Liaison Parties in the 5th Marine Division. I am including the data in my dad’s WWII memoirs. Should have finished them long ago. You misspelled two of his unit members in your book: Pvt William Trompeter, and PFC Rino Bertoncello, the latter who was a tall, blue eyed, blonde Italian. Cpl Bob Wonderly was also in his ALP. They were ALP #13. Dad visited both Wonderly and Bertoncello years after the war. Not Trompeter- another story. My dad lives with my sister Lynn, a retired school nurse, in Santa Fe, in Galveston County, Texas. I am working out of state every day near Moundsville, WV.
